General Ledger Integration Bringing Systems Together General Ledger Integration provides the means to bring data from your existing systems into the Microsoft Great Plains General Ledger. General Ledger Integration operates by defining the relationship between your source data and the General Ledger data fields. The transactions are loaded into standard batches in order to ensure system integrity, and to allow subsequent amendment if required. The General Ledger Interface module incorporates a number of functions for manipulating the source data, prior to import into Microsoft Great Plains batches. These functions include :
By making use of Code Tables to translate values, and providing sophisticated data manipulation and validation functions, almost any data can be interfaced with ease. The document break feature allows transactions in the source file to be grouped into one single posting document. Where the interface is required to automatically calculate totals per document, these transactions may be posted to the pre-defined Control Account. Automatic backup and renaming of interface files, and support for sequentially numbered files makes tracking source data easy. Full audit reporting and error logging ensure that data is not lost, and errors may be addressed quickly. |
