What Is Advanced VAT ?

Advanced VAT is a module designed to enhance the standard Microsoft Great Plains and Microsoft Great Plains VAT functionality. For more product information see the Advanced VAT product page.

How Do I Install Advanced VAT ?

1. Make sure that you have a good backup of your data, and that all users are logged out of Great Plains.

2. Run the self-extracting exe file and extract the chunk file to all workstations that at present have the Advanced VAT module loaded, log into Great Plains and include new code.

3. On one workstation run the Nolans Advanced VAT Install with ALL options ticked - this will be found on the Shortcut Bar in the Nolan Computers folder when logging into Great Plains as the 'sa' user.

How Do I Uninstall Advanced VAT ?

These are the steps for uninstalling the Nolans Advanced VAT module -

1. Exit from Microsoft Great Plains, make sure that you have a good copy of the Dynamics.set file in the Great Plains client directory, then edit the file using a text editor. It will look something like this:

2. In the Great Plains client directory, delete the file vatrep.dic, and, if they are present, the NCLF2474.dic and NCLR2474.dic files.

3. Log into Microsoft Great Plains and remove the following palette items :-

   Transactions >> Financial >> VAT Trx Entry
   Routines >> Financial >> PR VAT Allocation
   Routines >> Financial >> VAT Reconcile
   Setup >> Company >> VAT Change Reasons
   Setup >> Company >> VAT Mass Modify
   File >> Maintenance >> VAT Checklinks
   Enquiry >> Purchasing >> Payables Enquiry
   Reports >> Financial >> VAT Reconciliation
   Reports >> Financial >> Tax Detail

4. Make sure that security is reset to the standard Microsoft Great Plains versions of the windows in the Financial, Purchasing and Company series.
