Linking Bank Statements into Microsoft Great Plains

Automatic Bank Reconciliation is a Nolan Computers add-on. This has been developed to supply the link between bank statements and Microsoft Great Plain's Bank Reconciliation module.

Automatic Bank Reconciliation enables the automatic reconciliation between Bank Transactions contained within Microsoft Great Plains and bank statement transactions. The bank statements may be imported, or manually keyed where an import file is not available.

Automatic Bank Reconciliation version 2 for Microsoft Great Plains 5.5 now also includes our flexible, user-definable import process from Advanced Bank Reconciliation. This allows most bank statement files to be defined and imported by the user.

A match between the Microsoft Great Plains bank transactions and the bank statement entries is automatically made by the Automatic Bank Reconciliation system when the transactions share the same Type, Narration (or Number) and Amount.

Bank statements may be imported via one of several pre-defined bank statement formats. If necessary, sequence numbers may be utilised on the import files to prevent duplication of imported data. Audit reports of all imported data may be produced.

A number of new reports, accessed via the Automatic Bank Reconciliation Report Option screen, may be obtained. For example, a bank matching report which incorporates several sort-by, include and range options may be selected.

Any discrepancies that have occurred between the bank and the Microsoft Great Plains system are clearly shown, and once found can be amended.

Bank Reconciliation, a process that once could only be completed manually, is now completed by this Automatic Bank Reconciliation module in matter of minutes. It provides the user with concise data, which not only outlines any problems that have occurred clearly and efficiently, but also saves both time and effort.
